Kashmir street food is gaining popularity immensely these days. Past it was only a mens affair to visit khayam and relish upon street barbeque delicacies but now you can see places filled with families, college going girls and boys. Many restaurants offer them too but my favourite place will be khayam where you can indulge with bbq served with varieties of chutneys.
So today I am making a very easy recipe which can be enjoyed at comfort of your home.
Ingredients :
500 grams boneless chicken cut into cubes
1 onion diced
1 capsicum diced
1 tbsp red chilly powder
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp ajwain seeds
1 tbsp butter
3 tbsp thick curd
1 juice of lime
Salt as per taste.
Method :
1. Wash and drain chicken well.
2. In a mixing bowl add all ingredients except butter.
3. Mix all well together not leaving out any spot.
4. Leave the marinated chicken and veggies upto 4 hours in fridge.
5. Take out marinated chicken half an hour before cooking.
6. Preheat the oven or grill.
7. Add the chicken and veggies in skewers leaving out little space inbetween.
8. Bake the chicken skewers in oven for 30 to 40 minutes until nicely charred basking with butter every 15minutes or just grill them on grill plate
9. Serve the skewers with mint sauce, lemon wedges and some salad.
10. Enjoy
